What is motivation? Many people use the word to describe the inner push to get them to take a first step. For example, “I do not have the motivation to go to the gym,” or “I need the motivation to start going to the gym.” A search of the word in the dictionary may provide definitions that substantiate the use of the word in these examples. However, there is another angle to motivation that can be considered.
Instead of waiting for the motivation to start going to the gym or start eating correctly or whatever the action is, how about making a choice?
“I choose to start going to the gym.” That means that I am not waiting for motivation to go to the gym, I am simply making a choice. This is what would move me from passively waiting to actively pursuing a goal. Anyone waiting on the motivation to do anything is in a state of passiveness. The problem with being in that state is that there is no forward movement. Life is there for the taking. Sitting idly by and waiting for the fire to be kindled inside of you will only delay your destiny! Yet that is exactly what most people are doing when they wait for the motivation to do something.
On the other hand, if a choice is made to go to the gym then there is forward motion. This does not mean however that motivation is thrown out the window. In fact, after the decision is made, motivation steps up to the plate. Once the choice is made to go to the gym, do you know what it is that keeps you going back? Yes, it is motivation.
Motivation does not feed passivism. It is an inner propulsion mechanism. When there is motion, motivation will keep the momentum going. Do not think of motivation as the force that will take you from a standstill to movement. Think of it as the force that propels your movement in a given direction. So think of any area of your life where you are waiting for the motivation. If you find an area, then change your attitude and make a choice. Anything you have been wanting to do and you are not taking any forward action towards, does not need motivation. Those are areas where you need to make a choice to get going. Once you are moving, then motivation will play its part.
Let motivation be the force that keeps you going and not the one to get you going.

You have probable heard from many speakers and read from many books that having a positive attitude is very important. Does just having a positive attitude and thinking really help you in getting the things done? The idea that you often heard are to have a positive attitude about yourself, to think positively about the situation and visualize yourself in doing the task. But what I feel is that just having a positive thinking is not enough if you are not going to take any action.
You can have lots of positive attitude but if you are not willing to take even one action, nothing will be accomplished. So the things that really work is POSITIVE action. It is the act of taking action that will solve the problem. Even if you have a negative attitude but you are willing to take action, you will still be light years ahead of other people.
Positive Action can be defined as the act of doing something irregardless of whatever thinking that you have in your mind. Your mind can tell you that you are not able to achieve something, but that is only what your mind predicts, not the real facts. If you still take action despite what your mind tells you, you will be surprise at the amount of things that you will be able to do.
Positive thinking is still important but it will only be useful if you use it together with positive action. When you have a positive attitude towards life and your goal, you will more likely to take action. That is why having a positive thinking is also important.
The final conclusion will be if you want to do anything that will benefits you and the people around you, just do it. You will be shock at how much potential that you have.

What kind of word that you use everyday will have a effect on the kind of thinking and attitude that you will have. If you always use positive words and you always give words of encouragement to people, you will not only change yourself to have positive attitude, the person that you talk to will be influence too.
Words are free but the sad thing is that lesser people are using more of the positive word of encouragement. There is a saying the best way to motivates yourself is to motivates other people. This applies to positive attitude too. The more people that you give words of encouragement to, the more you will feel motivated and have a positive attitude.
For example, you are the leader of this rock climbing group. The task that this group wants to achieve is to climb a very high mountain. Along the way, you are feeling very tired and you feel like giving up. Then your team leader come and gives you a word of encouragement that you will be able to do it and not to give up. At that moment it might seem nothing extra-ordinary thing has happen. But to you, you will have some motivation and you will start to have a positive attitude. You will suddenly have the extra strength to continue. Then when you start to give word of encouragement to other people, people will be affected by you and they too will have a positive attitude towards solving the problems.
So do keep in mind to help as many people as you can to help them to achieve their goal so that when you help them and they succeeded in achieving, you will be more motivated and will have a positive attitude towards toward solving your own problem. So you can start to give more word of encouragement and have a more positive attitude for yourself and influence peoples.

You may answer no I do not have a low self esteem, I a am a very self confident individual I believe I can do anything I set my mind to. However even if you are self confident; does not exactly mean that you possess a high self image. This is completely different on than confidence. Your self image comes from deep within; and it is how you truly feel about yourself.
If you have ever known anyone who is very self confident in their career. Yet they find their personal life a wreck or they are constantly getting in trouble and do not feel good about themselves. They are dealing with a low self esteem issue. One can not possess a high self esteem and their personal life be totally chaotic. If you possess a high self esteem a high self confidence level then everything in your life whether personal or professional will be wonderful.
Only you can be honest with yourself about whether or not you have it. Answer these questions honestly and based on the answers you will know if you have a low self esteem or not:
- Do you constantly compare yourself to others?
- Do you possess regular feelings of being victimized?
- Do you feel like people take advantage of you?
- Do you find yourself constantly apologizing to others?
- Do you fear change?
- Are you constantly regretting about past decisions you made?
- Do you engage in regular self-sabotage?
Were the responses to those questions positive or negative? Be honest with yourself if you do possess one it is not the end of the world. You can learn how to work on it so that it will help you achieve whatever it is you desire. You do not have to continue living with the negative responses you got.
We all achieve our belief system while we are children. We are given our beliefs through people that we love and respect. If they tend to tell you something; then you tend to believe it. Sometimes what they tell you can empower you; while sometimes the opposite is the same. So how can you change that disempower low self esteem to help you achieve whatever it is you desire. Well it all starts with personal development.
You must begin the path to positive living. If you want to make more money then what what one do? They of course would be open to opportunities that presented themselves. Developing a high self esteem is the same, you can not continue to keep putting negative things in your mind and expect things to change. We are bombarded with all kinds of negativity in our lives. The negativity can come in all sorts of forms through the music we listen, television we watch and people we hang out with.
Begin cutting off the news and reading more positive books. Not only will this help your pride but it will also give you the courage to pursue your goals.

Why is visualization a powerful tool for change? We are constantly visualizing, whether we are conscious of that fact or not, and what we visualize determines a lot of what we get. For example, if you worry about the future, saying to yourself that you do not know whether you will have enough money, or that perhaps your health will deteriorate, or that your relationship with a friend or spouse is gradually going sour, in all these cases, you project a negative outcome into an unknown future. What happens when you do that? A whole lot, and none of it good! Let us look at this a bit more closely.
We tend to think that worry helps us avoid bad things. After all, if we did not worry, how would we manage to take the precautions that enable us to survive? But this reasoning is largely false. Why? First of all, worry or negative feelings focused on the future creates stress, and stress creates discomfort, illness and pain over time. So your worry only guarantees that you will have a problem, a problem created by your state of mind. Second, worry makes us unreceptive. Have you ever tried to have a good conversation with someone who was worried, and did you notice how difficult it is for them to engage with you? They cannot pay attention! When we worry we are all full of ourselves, in an unpleasant way, and we do not have any time or energy to let in good things. No wonder bad things happen. People get tired of hanging around us, trying to be available for positive experiences!
Third, worry creates what we worry about. Energetically, we draw to ourselves what we are. We tend to blame the world for our experiences, but the truth is, we often bring those experiences into being through our own consciousness. Happy people are drawn to happy people. Loving people are drawn to loving people. If we want happy or loving people in our lives, then we must be happy and loving ourselves. We tend to think we will be happy and loving IF we get happy and loving people in our lives, and so we wait, and wait, and wait, and hope, and hope, and complain, and wish. But everything happens the other way around. BE happy, and you will DRAW happiness to you!
Like all powerful abilities, visualization is simple, and its power depends on regular, daily, even hourly practice. Begin your day by spending five minutes imagining to yourself how you would LIKE the day to be, as opposed to how you EXPECT it to be. Notice all the negative expectations you bring into your life, and see if you can loosen their hold. Then go through the day remembering your visualization with each event and encounter. When things are not working exactly as you would like, come back to yourself and see yourself as you would like to be in the situation.
Effective visualization is not so much about seeing things happening the way you want them to, as it is about seeing YOURSELF being the way you want to be: proactive, loving, energetic, successful, kind, you name it! Keep in mind, especially when the going gets rough, that you attract to yourself what you are. If you want wonderful things, be wonderful! If you want health, see yourself as healthy! Then keep on doing this, despite other energies that come around you, until you gradually truly become what you see yourself as being, and the world around you changes to reflect you. Enjoy your journey! Let it become more and more effortless!
