Staying Positive When Life Sucks
January 28th, 2008 by aaks
We have learned through the Law of Attraction that positive thoughts and feelings bring events to support more positive thoughts and feelings. We use our emotions as a gauge and a tool to manifest more of what we want. How do you stay positive though when life seems to suck? Who hasn′t had one of those days when everything seemed to go wrong despite your best efforts? It can be challenging to keep a positive attitude and maintain your faith that the Law of Attraction is working and your dreams are still be manifesting at times like this. How do you stay positive? Well here are just a few suggestions.
1. First and foremost, remember that we may have gotten off track a bit. The Universe may be making adjustments to allow what you asked for to manifest. It seems most intentions involve other people in one form or another. If you want wealth, you are manifesting meeting those people who can help you to attain it. If you are looking for love… well, that one is obvious. If you are looking for improved health and vitality, a person may be the one to give you the nudge in the right direction. So how do you know that the missed flight, the missed appointment, the broken whatever isn′t setting you up to meet that person? Maybe it is something that won′t happen immediately. Maybe your dryer breaks, you figure out how to fix it, and three years from now you meet someone and strike up a conversation because you now know how to fix their broken dryer. This may all sound crazy, but if you think back, I′m certain you will find “coincidences” that happened just because of something like this.
2. Take a look at how important the inconveniences occurring right now really are. After all, will you even remember them in ten years, five years, or even six months? If not, are they really worth worrying about? And if they are major enough to remember, odds are they are changing your life in a positive direction if you can see it and make the most of it.
3. Notice what you are learning from the experience. I recently went on a trip during which I missed a flight, arrived to my destination city late, got lost on the way to my destination three times, and somehow managed to stay fairly positive throughout. Once I had a good night’s sleep, I was proud of the fact that I had overcome all of the obstacles and proven to myself that I could manage on my own. Sometimes difficulties are the very events that force us out of our comfort zone thereby expanding it.
4. Remember that your current reality is a result of your past thoughts. If you are struggling now, changing your thoughts if they have been negative can bring about a change of events. If your thoughts have been consistently positive, just hang in there and be grateful for the lessons and adjustments that are bringing about your dreams.
